Cristiano Ronaldo dos Santos Aveiro is one of the best football players in the world. He comes from Portugal. He started his professional career in Sporting Lisbon, then played for England's Manchester United. From there, he transferred to Spain's Real Madrid for a then record fee of 80 million pounds. Since 2018, he has been playing for the Italian club Juventus FC. He returned to Manchester United in 2021. At the end of 2022, he transferred to the Saudi Arabian team An-Nassr FC. His number is 7. In 2014, the American magazine Time included him in the list of the hundred most influential people in the world. In 2020, he became the third athlete and the first footballer to earn over a billion US dollars in his career. He also is the most-followed person on Instagram.

There has always been a battle between Ronaldo and Messi about who is better. What I know for sure is that they are both great and from the world of football these two names are the most resounding. Someone might think that they are enemies, the opposite is true, they support and like each other. I was thinking about who to pick for my project People that changed the world and it was tough. However I picked Ronaldo because nowadays he is very influential among the young people and I feel like we hear about him more.

He won the European Championship 2016 and the premier edition of the League of Nations 2018/2019. In May 2018, he became the first footballer with five triumphs in the modern era of the UEFA Champions League. With 140 goals, he is the top scorer in this top European club competition. He scored the highest number of goals in seven seasons of the Champions League. He won many other awards, he is more than successful.

Ronaldo has 5 children. He first became a father to a son Cristiano Ronaldo Jr. He has full custody of the child and has not publicly revealed the identity of the mother per an agreement with her. Which is kind of strange. He had a 5-year relationship with Russian model Irina Shayk. Then he became a father to twins, born via surrogacy. He is currently in a relationship with Spanish model Georgina Rodríguez. She gave birth to a daughter. And then the couple expected their second pair of twins in 2022. The male twin died during childbirth while the female twin survived.

I'm personally not into football much, but my dad is a football fanatic so I know something about it. However, Ronaldo is somehow interesting to me, he is not just a footballer, he is a celebrity and that's why I find him cool.
