Since I am a great fan of France, its language, culture and other French-speaking countries, I would like to introduce you to the situation there. In the following article, you can learn something about the development of covid in France.
Let's start with the most important part of the fight against coronavirus - vaccination. The vaccination campaign against Covid-19 began on December 27, 2020 in France. Over 11,000,000 people have been fully vaccinated in France since the start of the vaccination campaign. Over 24,000,000 people have been given the first dose of the vaccine in France, namely 36.00% of the population.
Vaccine is currently made available to people aged 75+ living in nursing homes, and to caregivers, firefighters and home helpers aged 50+, but of course the most vulnerable people have priority in accessing the vaccine.
The government has recently relaxed conditions and age limits for getting the vaccine in order to remain on track to meeting its vaccination targets. The French joyfully made their way back to cafés as the country loosened restrictions in a return to somehow normal life after more than six months of Covid-19 curbs. Museums, cinemas and some theatres are also reopening after being closed for 203 days.
