Fashion capitals Paris, London and New York

In 2015 Paris bumped New York from the number one spot and became the world's top fashion capital. Have you ever heard names like Karl Lagerfeld, Hubert de Givenchy, Christian Dior, Coco Chanel or Yves Saint Laurent? I'm sure that you recognized at least one of them because they are world known fashion designers who were born in France. Besides these designers, the world´s largest fashion magazine which can´t be anything else than Elle launched in Paris in 1945. Finally, the world's grandest fashion show is held in Paris. Besides New York Fashion Week no other fashion event in the world attracts more fashion royalty. Also, Parisians love to keep up with trends and have a special fashion style so the world loves to watch what they are wearing!

London...this city has always been ridiculously innovative when it comes to fashion. Next, the UK has produced some of the most extraordinary fashion designers in the world like for example Vivienne Westwood, Christopher Kane or Alexander McQueen. London is home to so many top fashion schools same as Paris that you will lose track counting them. And another grand fashion show which is one of the top four in the world is London Fashion Week. Also held in February and September and attracts the world´s largest fashion houses.

And finally the one and only American fashion city from ,,Big four" which is missing and this city is New York. New York is number two between the fashion capitals but still number two is never a bad thing and this city is shining brighter in the fashion industry than ever. We all know New York is a world´s culture center in every way but when it comes to fashion every city in the world follows New York and even Paris can admit that! Ralph Lauren, Tom Ford, Marc Jacobs or Donna Karen - these are the most famous fashion designers born in this city. I bet that you have definitely heard about a fashion magazine called Vogue. Founder of this magazine is Anna Wintour who is an important figure in the fashion world and her name is also connected with a big event called The Met Gala where celebrities show their robes from famous designers. Last important thing in the New York fashion industry is fashion week which attracts the biggest names in fashion for so many years.
