Fashion through the years 60s, 70s

In the course of history, 50 years isn't a particularly long time but in the course of ,,fashion history" it means much - from shoulder pads in fitted blouses to sneakers and leggings. If there is anything that we can all agree on in the fashion world, it is that fashion always returns to the past so even if it has changed dramatically it also kept trends from the past very much alive. Fashion is on a never-ending cycle of changes so let's look back at how it has changed over the years!

1960s: The miniskirts. ,,If I didn't make skirts short enough, the Chelsea girls, who had wonderful legs, would get out the scissors and shorten the skirts themselves," told designer later to The New York Times. Also, important movement in this time were hippies who inherently affected fashion in these years. Last trend which came up in this time were turtlenecks which are popular till today.

1970s: Bell bottoms. Bell bottoms, fur coat and flower prints...those are the original seventies! Also, one of the biggest trends were platform shoes that we have remained in various likenesses until now. Fashion world and all around it was often inspired by music and Hollywood films. The most popular musicians of that time were for example The Rolling Stones. In these years hair was getting bigger and the colors were getting brighter.
