The 80th anniversary Golden Globe Awards took place on January 10th in Beverly Hills, Los Angeles.

All five nominees of each of the 27 categories were announced by Selenis Leyva and Mayan Lopez from the sitcom Lopez vs. Lopez and Helen Hoehne, president of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA).

A bunch of new presenters including Cole Hauser, Harvey Guillén, Henry Golding, Hilary Swank, Glen Powell, Jenna Ortega, Jennifer Coolidge, Jennifer Hudson, Claire Danes, Letitia Wright, Regina Hall, and Salma Hayek Pinault were then announcing the winners of each category.

Although many people could've expected Avatar: The Way of Water to win in the category for the best motion picture - drama, the movie The Fabelmans had outdone it.

Also, the fabulous Cate Blanchett won a Golden Globe Award in the category for the best actress in a motion picture - drama, for her role in the movie Tár.

The star of the night was also Angela Bassett, who won a Golden Globe in the category for the best supporting actress in any motion picture for her role of queen Ramonda in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.

In the category for the best TV series - drama, won the series House of the Dragon, which is also announced to have a season two, coming out in 2024.

Also, the actress of Rhaenyra Targaryen, Emma D'Arcy, was nominated for the best actress in drama series, but in the end, the actress who won it, was Zendaya Coleman for her role of Rue Bennett in the series Euphoria. But unfortunately, she wasn't present at the Golden Globe Awards ceremony.

Golden Globe award in the category for the best TV series - musical or comedy, won the series Abbott Elementary, even though the series Wednesday was also nominated.

And talking about Wednesday, Jenna Ortega was for this role of her's nominated in the category for the best actress in a TV series - musical or comedy, but the Golden Globe won actress Quinta Brunson, who played in the, already mentioned, series Abbott Elementary.

The category for the best limited series or TV movie won the series The White Lotus, even though series like Dahmer - Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story or Pam & Tommy.

Actors Sebastian Stan and Lily James were for their roles in the series Pam & Tommy also nominated in the categories for the best actor and actress in a limited series or TV movie. But neither of them won the Golden Globe. The winners of these categories were Amanda Seyfried, for her role in The Dropout, and Evan Peters, for his role of Jeffrey Dahmer in Dahmer - Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story.

Music is also one of the essential things in nowadays movies and series. Even though one would expect the winner to be Rihanna with the song Lift Me Up from Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, Taylor Swift with the song Carolina from Where the Crawdads sing, or even Lady Gaga with Hold My Hand from Top Gun: Maverick, but at the end, it was song Naatu Naatu from the movie RRR, by MM Keeravani - music, Kala Bhairava, Rahul Sipligunj, who won the Golden Globe.
