,,Greenpeace exists because our fragile planet needs our protection. It needs change, it deserves a solution and it requires our actions.´´

I´ve written 5 articles about charities, which help mostly children but also people in need. So I've decided that I should get you to know also about natural and environmental problems, because everything will have an effect only when we take care of our planet. For this reason will be the following article about an organization, which helps our planet to survive.

It´s called Greenpeace.

It's an independent international environmental organization operating in 55 countries for almost half a century. Their aim is to protect the environment and to draw attention to its damage by non-violent means. They bear witness to global environmental problems, demand redress from responsible institutions, and offer solutions that are key to our health and a secure future not only for us but for future generations. Some of their visions are, for example: the enforcement of the energy revolution (this concerns global warming), the protection of the world's oceans or the protection of the world's forests.

The organization was founded by Canadian and American environmental activists in 1971. At the very beginning is the demonstration in the 1960s of 7,000 people at the crossing between the USA and Canada, who demonstrated against the detonation of a nuclear bomb, which they said could have caused an earthquake or tsunami.

The best thing in this organization is that everybody can always join them, or help with donating or sign electronic petitions for some change. It's a really easy process. You can just click on their homepage. There you can find some more informations about them, but also there are so many options, how you can help. If you click on ,,get involved´´button, you find here actual petitions, which you can underwrite online, it takes like 5 minutes, maybe less. Also you find here a file with ,,volunteering´´ and there you just fill out the questionnaire and submit, everything online of course, and you can become a volunteer. When we get back to the homepage, there is another button called ,, donate´´ and there is like a countdown and pointer, how many plastic things are made every second or how many trees are felled every second. At the very bottom of the page you can find a donation questionnaire.

So let´s help our planet!
