So, this is mostly 3am shower thought that brought me to this topic. Luckily I wasnt researching this at 3am because this get scary really quickly, anyways lets dive in.
I will start with explaining shortly the topic which noone talks about. Our brain hygien. All of the stated facts are supported by various researches and studies this isnt just random stuff I came up with.
Most of from early age know what is good for our health and brain, even 7y.o.s. There is one big misconception though and also first on the list: orange juice (and generally all fruit juices) even though they are marketed as healthy they are not, the sugar you dissolve turns into acid and then sent to the brain, thats not good is it?
One major thing to consider also is overall sugar issue.
Suggar is the first addiction you get into contact with. Also its gateway drug to major issues like obesity, with addituonal weight brain power decreases, so if you are fat there are quite some possibilities that your brain is getting dummer.
Another issue of moder society is being left alone and having bad thoughts, this speeds up aging brain and multiplies the risk of dementia by three times.
Another drug that kills our brain is caffein (also marijuana and nicotin) it constricts bloodflow to brain, but if it is doing this it is also happening everywhere in your body which might cause major health problems.
Other moder problems are dealing with stress and the level of trauma you are carrying. You have to process this if you dont it will add up, meaning you will get depressed. Depression increases the risk of Alzheimers disease by 4x for men, and 2x for women. One more thing is what you eat, because we hear all the time fat is bad, don't eat that, but in reality 93% of planet is running low on omega-3 (fatty acids, such as fish oil).
Now after reading all of the scary information you wanna do something right? Well read labels, always. Not only on food, but on everything that has anything to do with your body. With this I can recommend an APP that does evaluation and scaling of these products : THINK DIRTY.
Lower your screen time, it ages your brain and destroys your pleasure centres/receptors -> it is easier for you to get depressed.
