Justin Bieber is a Canadian singer. He is known for his genre-melding musicianship and has played an influential role in modern-day popular music. He was discovered by American record executive Scooter Braun when he was just 14 years old, soon he established himself as a teen idol.

Justin's mother is Pattie Mallette, she gave birth to Justin when she was only 19 years old. Justin's father never lived with them, but they kept in touch. Growing up, he learned to play the piano, drums, guitar, and trumpet. Bieber's first single, "One Time" had success in international markets. And that's how Justin started his star career.

The song that kind of changed everything was "Baby", on YouTube it has 2,8 billion views, which is unbelievable. In June 2011, Bieber was ranked No. 2 on the Forbes list of Best-Paid Celebrities under 30. He is the youngest star, and 1 of 7 musicians on the list, having raked in $53 million in a 12-month period. Can you imagine that you are 17 years old and you make that big amount of money? It's more than crazy. In 2011 he also released the Christmas-themed Under the Mistletoe. It became the first Christmas album by a male artist to debut at No. 1 on the Billboard 200.

In 2012 Bieber released his very famous and important album called Believe. The album marked a musical departure from the teen pop sound of his previous releases, and incorporated elements of dance-pop and R&B genres. There are songs like "As Long As You Love Me", "Beauty and a Beat" or "Boyfriend".

In 2015 Bieber released "Where Are Ü Now" and it earned him first Grammy Award for Best Dance/Electronic Recording. The same year he released a new album called Purpose, which is probably his most famous album ever. It included songs like "What Do You Mean?". It became Bieber's first number one hit in the country. He set a Guinness World Record by becoming the youngest solo male artist to debut at the top of the Hot 100. Then there are songs like "Sorry", "Love Yourself" or "Mark My Words". I bet you know all of them.

In 2017 Justin collaborated with Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee and they released a remix for their song "Despacito", which is still a big hit today.

In 2020 he released a not very popular album called Changes. After that he released some good singles such as "Lonely", "Monster", "Stay" or "Anyone". His recent album which earned enormous success is Justice. There are songs like "Peaches" or "Ghost".

His personal life is also very interesting and full of excitement. From 2010 to 2018, Bieber was in an on-again, off-again relationship with singer and actress Selena Gomez. They were called Jelena and everybody was rooting for them, because they were each other's first love. Their relationship was iconic for the '10s era. Justin made a lot of songs about Selena, likewise Selena about Justin. He didn't handle their break up very well and due to these circumstances his behaviour was sometimes troublesome. He had problems with drugs and in 2014 he was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence. He has struggled with mental health issues, particularly depression and anxiety. Bieber always says that the reason he is still here is God, he describes himself as a faithful Christian. When he was 24 he settled down and got married to model Hailey Bieber.
