A traditional, Czechoslovak cola drink with an unmistakable taste and aroma, produced since 1960. A mixture of 14 herbs and fruit juices spiced with licorice. This is Kofola Original.
From the highest state positions came the task of creating a purely Czechoslovak drink that would be able to compete with Western cola. Two years - It took so long for the team of doc. RNDr. PfMr. Zdenek Blazek, CSc. In the end, he put together fourteen herbal and fruit substances supplemented with caffeine, which are still used today.
After a few years, the popularity was on the rise and the company was so prosperous that the annual production of the drink reached 180 million liters. The Velvet Revolution meant a decline in sales for Kofola. With the freedom regained, the demand for previously almost inaccessible foreign colas grew a lot. The half-forgotten Kofola changed owners several times and gradually prepared for its great return. Within the time came new flavors - citrus, various fruits or even vanilla etc.
In 2001, for the first time, a wave of love flooded Czechia and Slovakia. The slogan ,,Když ji miluješ, není co řešit..." ("When you love her, there is nothing to discuss"), won the hearts of not only Kofola lovers. And it delivers its strong message until today.
