Land Art
Vlasta Peyerlová
Land art formed in 1960 like a protest against commercialization of art in the USA. It's an art in nature made with natural materials. Nothing long lasting. That's one of the points of Land art, you put a big effort in something and after a few days it can be gone.
You need to choose a place that's somehow special to you or somehow inspires you. How you're going to do it it's totally up to you. There are countless ways. From the houses from sticks you were building when you were a little kid to the enormous projects like man-made islands. So you can really do anything. But there's few rules you should keep in mind. Your work should be ecological. That means nature should be able to destroy it without any problems. This also means that some projects will need some extra doses of patience. Next is that your work should respond in some way to the place you've chosen. It shouldn'ŧ feel forced there.
And because it's not long-lasting art, don't forget to take pictures of your work so you can boast with them. You can also record how it changes over time.
