Political Relations Between Canada and European Union

Canada holds many similar values to the European Union nowadays, but as sources

suggest, this is not anything new. In fact, the relationship between Canada and the

European Union is the oldest formal relationship with any industrialized country,

dating back to 1959, over 70 years ago!

Canada and the European Union both enjoy a strong relationship between each

other.

Both countries also support each other in terms of research, science technology,

defense and agriculture. Both governments also invest in research of better

ecological solutions in terms of energy and transportation.
