"Why should I visit the Czech football league match?" This is the question I listen to after recommending visiting the Czech Fortuna League match. Foreigners often think that the Czech Republic is a state with ice hockey as the number one sport. At the international level, we are surely better in winter sports so it may seem Czechs are more likely ice hockey fans, but I wouldn't say that. If you'd go to a pub, you'd always see a football match turned on the TV screen.

It does not matter if the tourists are from "football powers" England or Spain, they should visit the Czech league match due to the specific exceptional atmosphere. And this is doubly true if they are in Prague. I don't want to say other matches are middling but Sparta - Ostrava match is of higher quality than Teplice - Karviná. Besides Sparta Prague and Slavia Prague are traditional participants in at least a group stage of European cups.
