SECRET PLACES IN LONDON

When I am traveling, I always visit famous places and that is so much fun, but I feel like everybody wants to see more than that. Every city has special places which only local people know about and I think that one of the best parts of traveling, aside from meeting new people and discovering new cultures is also discovering new and cool places. That is the reason why this chapter is about secret spots in my favorite city, London.

London is filled with amazing places to see. You can definitely find good spots to go eat, or find the best thrift shops. London is also very popular for its unique red phone boots and double-decker buses, which I am sure everyone knows.

First place I discovered is called St. Dunstan's in the East. It is a beautiful garden with gothic architecture designed by Christopher Wren (British designer). Garden is located near Tower Hill. I highly recommend visiting this spot to those who love parks, nature and peaceful atmosphere, you will feel so relaxed and you can also admire beautiful architecture. 

Another place I found is Leadenhall Market, a Victorian marketplace which was the setting for Diagon Alley and Leaky Cauldron in the Harry Potter films. If you are a fan of Harry Potter then this place is a must see. This market is one of the oldest markets in the city and with its magical atmosphere is a perfectly spent afternoon.

When you are looking for a cool place to see at nighttime, you should absolutely visit God's Own Junkyard. The city's gentrification has brought a new point of view of young creatives in this neighborhood. It is like a warehouse- maze with handmade neon signs. You can buy some cocktails or even dinner there. The colorful design of the place is just fabulous. Lastly, I picked the Leake Street Graffiti Tunnel. What's really interesting is that it is the largest legal graffiti wall and one of the funkiest street art spots. If you are into art or any kind of graffiti, this place is for you.

Overall, London has so many magnificent places that are a must see and it is also so much fun to discover places a little different than usual.
