Seoul: The city that never sleeps
Eliška Kuchynková
As I said in the Project proposal, the first city I would like to visit in future is Seoul. Seoul is the capital city of South Korea. I have a lot of reasons why I want to visit this wonderful city. The main reason is that I love South Korean culture, I love their food, their language and their music. I really enjoy listening to Korean music too and that's what made me so interested in South Korea. Korean music introduced me to this beautiful country.
. I really like Korean culture for example ''Hanbok'', which is the traditional two-piece clothing worn in South Korea. They wear ''Hanbok'' for formal events like festivals or celebrations and I think it's really beautiful. It is usually a wrapped top with a high waisted skirt. Term ''Hanbok'' means ''Korean clothing'' in Korean language. Men wear a ''Hanbok'' too but in a different style.

Korean food is very extravagant. Korean cuisine is largely based on rice, vegetables and meats. The most famous side dish in South Korea is kimchi, which is Korean radish made with chili powder onions and other seasoning. Koreans eat kimchi with almost every food. I had kimchi many times and I totally understand why they love it, because it tastes amazing. Other traditional foods in South Korea are Bulgogi (beef barbecue), Bibimbap (mixed rice) or Mandoo which are Korean Dumplings. My favorite Korean food is Kimbap, which are Korean rice rolls with vegetables and tofu.

Another reason why I want to visit Soul is that I think the city itself is marvelous. The city has so much to offer. There are a lot of monuments, shops, bars and other entertaining places. The first place I would go If I was there is Itaewon. Itaewon is a bustling neighborhood of Seoul. There are streets filled with shops, cafés, bars etc. It is very loud and clamorous. The other place I would visit next is Gwanghwamun Square which is a lovely square located in front of Gwanghwamun Gate. There is a large statue of King Sejong The Great. So, these were the main reasons why I love Seoul even though I've never visited the city.
I will also tell you some interesting information about this city. Seoul has a population of 9.7 million people and it was the largest metropolitan economy in 2014 after Tokyo, NYC and Los Angeles. Motto of the city is ''I Seoul U'' and I think that's adorable. I hope after reading this chapter of my project you will like Soul as much as I do, or if you already do, I hope you will have a chance to visit this incredible city someday.
