Sherlock still saving London after 100 years

Sherlock is a crime comedy series by Mark Gatiss and Steven Moffat. It is based on a novel by Arthur Conan Doyle.The cast consists of some famous actors such as Benedict Cumberbatch playing Sherlock Holmes, Martin Freeman as John Watson or Andrew Scott in the role of the main villain Jim Moriarty.

The story is set in the 21st century and it revolves around a "consulting detective" Sherlock Holmes who fights crime with his friend John Watson. Throughout the series they solve various cases but many of them are associated with their archenemy Jim Moriarty.

The plot of the series is really entertaining and definitely not dull. Every protagonist is hilarious and has a really interesting personality and backstory. As the series is unfolding, the relationships among all the characters are affected by the events in the story and change because of them. There are many funny scenes with, what quickly became, esoteric jokes. One of the scenes that stand out is when Sherlock starts shooting at the wall in their flat because he is bored.

To sum up, Sherlock successfully managed to bring the 19th century detective to the modern world. It was refreshing and captivating how fast pace and dynamic the series turned out to be. Each episode is thrilling and you definitely shouldn't miss it. So go and watch as Sherlock Holmes unravels the secrets of the capital of England.
