If you can solve Rubik's cube of any type and you really enjoy it and you think you are good at it, you should start thinking about speedcubing. Are you wondering what is it? It is just like any other sport, where there are people competing between each other. Speedcubing is the hobby involving solving a variety of combinations as quickly as possible, the most famous being the 3x3x3 puzzle or Rubik's Cube.

The standard puzzle sizes are 2x2x2, 3x3x3, 4x4x4, 5x5x5, 6x6x6, and 7x7x7. Otherwise there are some puzzles with different shapes and sizes like pyraminx or megaminx. People who are solving cubes competitively are also known as speedcubers. One the most famous speedcubers are Feliks Zemdegs or Yusheng Du who holds the world record in solving 3x3x3 Rubik's cube. He solved it in an incredible 3.47 seconds!

To solve this cube in about a minute, you need to know consecutive algorithms, which are not too hard to learn. But if you want to solve it quicker in order of seconds, there is this method called CFOP or Fridrich method. The CFOP method can be used as a less-advanced method by dividing the steps into more steps, reducing the number of algorithms you need to learn but sacrifices time. The CFOP method is a widely used speedcubing method.
