In this article I want to talk about the best directors. Directors are the people whose faces we often don't know, but the film wouldn't do without them and they are very important to the film. I admire the directors, I think it's a really hard work and I appreciate them, because they are the ones that are responsible for the final film form.
Steven Spielberg was born in 1946. Spielberg's films make $ 15 billion in total, making him the most commercially successful film director of all time. He is one of the most popular directors in film history, his films Jaws, ET: The Extra-Terrestrial and Jurassic Park set records. During his career, he made many films of various genres for example a movie about the holocaust Schindler´s List, about a war Saving Private Ryan, then he made series of Indiana Jones films and then he is a director of movies Catch Me If You Can (my personal favourite) and Terminal. He is the holder of 3 Oscars and 3 Golden Globes.
Quentin Tarantino was born in 1963. He is a director who became famous in the early 90s as a fresh, rough and black-humorous narrator. Everybody knows that, when you go to the cinema for a movie from Tarantino, it will be gory. He made movies like Pulp Fiction, Kill Bill, Sin City, Inglourious Basterds, Django Unchained or Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. He is the holder of 2 Oscars and 3 Golden Globes.
Woody Allen was born in 1935. He is one of the few American filmmakers who have managed to establish themselves primarily as creators of auteur films. In order for this to happen, he needed a lot of talent. He is not only a director, but also an actor and a writer. He made movies like Annie Hall, Hannah and Her Sisters, The Purple Rose of Cairo, Manhattan or Husbands and Wives. He is the holder of 4 Oscars and 1 Golden Globe.
Clint Eastwood was born in 1930. He is a director, actor and producer. He became famous as the Man with No Name in a series of spaghetti westerns. He then became highly acclaimed thanks to his directing career. He made movies like Unforgiven, Million Dollar Baby, The Bridges of Madison County, A Perfect World or Gran Torino. He is the holder of 5 Oscars and 6 Golden Globes.
