The Biggest Fashion Brands (Givenchy, Chanel)

Let's continue what we started in the last article and it was a talk about world famous fashion brands. Last time we were talking about Versace and Hermès and in this article, we are going to look at another two of them and it is Givenchy and Chanel.

Falling just inside the top 10 is Parisian fashion house Givenchy. This brand was founded by Hubert de Givenchy. The brand became known for its iconic shirt dress and Givenchy was the first high fashion designer to create a luxury ready-to-wear clothing line for women. In the beginning of this brand Audrey Hepburn was the muse and friend of Hubert de Givenchy. One of the biggest present events for Givenchy was creating Meghan Markle´s custom bridal dress for her May 2018 royal wedding to Prince Harry.

Chanel is a French luxury fashion house founded by Gabrielle "Coco" Chanel, a former singer and fashion designer. Coco Chanel made elegant, minimalistic clothes for women. Some of Chanel´s many legacies include ,,the little black dress" and the iconic ,,Chanel suit", as well as Chanel No.5 fragrance. Chanel struggled to stay relevant and designer Karl Lagerfeld was hired as chief creative to revive the dying brand. Since foundation, Chanel has become the world's most elite fashion house beloved by the rich and famous from London to Shanghai. Famous faces who have fronted this fashion house include Nicole Kidman, Margot Robbie, Keira Knightley or Marilyn Monroe.
