Vitamin Angels is a charity that belongs to the group of 10 best charities everyone's heard of, but I've personally never heard about them, so I decided to get to know and then share my knowledge with you.
To serve millions of moms and children worldwide, they leverage the intimate knowledge and existing infrastructure of our nonprofit partners and to add vitamins to their existing health and nutrition services.
They've built a network of over 2,000 program partners globally who have a deep understanding of the communities they serve and can identify and fill gaps in health services. In this way, they can ensure their vitamins reach the women and children who need them most.
Vitamin Angels reaches millions of children annually with vitamin A. As children grow and develop rapidly, meeting their intense and urgent nutritional needs is essential. Vitamin A is a micronutrient children's bodies need for a strong immune system, healthy vision, and physical growth and development. Vitamin A deficiency is a leading cause of preventable childhood blindness, and a major contributor to illness and death.
