We bet trees+Tree project - Make a Donation and Plant a Tree

Our school has just joined a volunteer event to help the environment!!!

A charity-ecological event called The Tree Project took place in the backyard of our school yesterday. The students of the seconds and the junior year of our school organized the whole event together with Professor Drobná. A lot of students brought baked desserts and made products, and everything was sold during the big break. The entire proceeds will go to the realization of our goal - to plant Patočka Alley with the help of the non-profit organization 

We bet trees.

This charity supports companies, communities and volunteers, and together they plant trees and shrubs where they are most needed. They get money from companies that decide to support the environment. They are looking for localities with municipalities that would otherwise remain uninhabited. And with volunteers, often the employees of the companies themselves, they eventually plant trees and shrubs. Since 2014, they have managed to plant 18,217 trees and 14,086 shrubs. Their mission is to promote in people the awareness that in a simple way we can do a lot of good for nature. They believe that the joy that people experience when betting, and the opportunity to immediately see the result of their work will be an impetus for further changes that everyone can make on a daily basis in their lives and thus systematically support nature. A planted tree is simply such a "joy to continue", because the tree will need decades or even hundreds of years to come. I would love to say that I am so proud of my school, that we are part of this project and we are helping nature even in the biggest center of Prague. Our event was extremely successful and I want to thank all involved students, teachers and all of the people who came to support us. We did really well, because we managed to collect 16 000 crowns!!!
