WFP-Life without food is not life
Michaela Srpová
Even though you´ve probably never heard about this charity, it is as important as the others and I think, we should learn something new. WFP (United Nations World Food Programme) is focused on food aid mainly for women and children, whether in the event of natural disasters or war.

The World Food Program is a food-based organisation settled in Rome. It currently operates in more than 80 developing countries. It employs about 5,000 people, most of whom are employed on a fixed-term basis or are volunteers. WFP's long experience in humanitarian and development contexts has positioned the organisation well to support resilience building in order to improve food security and nutrition. WFP helps the most vulnerable people strengthen their capacities to absorb, adapt, and transform in the face of shocks and long-term stressors. Their programs are for example: Food for life, which means that in the event of any disaster, WFP distributes food to the affected population in a short time. The second one is: Food for growth, which is designed to combat malnutrition and nutrition of children and mothers. And the last one: Food for work, the inhabitants of the area are paid with food for their work. These are mainly disaster prevention, environmental protection and rehabilitation of damaged areas.
This organisation was founded in 1961 and in 2020 received the Nobel Peace Prize. With this charity, each of us can contribute once or on a monthly basis. Of course, we can determine the amount that suits us. Just go to this charity's website and click the DONATE button. I believe that it's really easy for all of us and it can help many and many people in unpleasant living conditions.
Be kind, donate!
